B) During the Night:
After the beach, it is a good idea to visit the Village where dissimilar kinds of restaurants offer different kind of menus, such as French, Italian, regional or Brazilian food. Other option is tasting a Foom's pastry and a drink at Joe's Caipifruit hut, while enjoy of live music. After dinner you can eat some sweet offer at the sweets huts or even buy some typical presents or some clothes at the stores distributed along the main street. At the main square is located the Artisans Fair that offer wonderful handmade jewelry and clothes among other objects. By midnight, restaurants and shops close their doors saying it is time to go to the dancing party at the beach.

.: Dancing Parties:

By midnight, people leaves the village in direction to the 2nd Beach. The most popular places over there are 87 Music Bar, good option where some electronic music can be heard.
Other Good option is Caitá Beach Club and it is said it will be the better place on next summer 2003/2004. Another place is Ponta da Ilha Hut, where local music can be heard; this is the favorite place of local people. Many caipifruit huts are distributed around the entrance

Ride around the Island: ****(quick Boat) This ride around the Island is a good option to know other townd besides Morro de São Paulo: Garapuá with its beautiful seaside -we can say this is the Brazilian Tahiti-; Boipeba Is. with its marvelous and practically unknown beaches, such as Moreré with its natural pools; eat some sea lobster fished at the moment, at Cueira beach; and visit some other little towns. The journey begins at 9:00 am and end around 6:00 pm. One place you will visit on this ride is Cairú, second oldest city at Brazil and capital of Tinharé Municipality, being Morro de São Paulo part of it. It is also possible to vissit one of the oldest convents, thant belongs to St Francis´Monks

. Adventure Tourism: *****(boat-land rover 4x4,cascades-rafting-etc) For those who want some adventure, from now on can count with a new project called Bahia 4x4. At the moment, the rides are on the southern region of the state leaving by boat from Morro de São Paulo untill

B) Trekking: If you like walking, an choice is going to the 4th Beach, taking care of tides; it is also possible to go by the seaside to Gamboa Town, passing by Pota da Pedra Beach and the Yatch Club. This walk is ideal for those who are looking for some tranquility and relaxed places. On this way to Gamboa, is easy to find a mud hill that is very good for skin and hair care. The treatment consist on grease it on the skin, let it dry and then take a bath to take it away.

2nd Beach is the ideal place to practice Volleyball and Foot-Volley. With low tide, there is place enough to play football or Frescoball. On the 3rd beach you can rent a kayak and go till Caitá Is. On the 4th one is possible to do some snorkel enjoying of colorful fishes.

A) Places to Visit:

A) Surf: The place for this sport is between 1st and 2nd beach where a coral fence known as Pedra do Moleque creates the ideal conditions for this sport. The quality of waves depends on the weather, the tides and other conditions. Local surfers say best waves can be found on March, month in which a competition is realized and many categories -from children to veterans- show their habilities.


It is a good idea to enjoy some shellfish moqueca (traditional plate) at any of the restaurants near the seaside. The name of this town, Gamboa, is such because of a traditional way of fishing consisting on create a kind of labyrinth made of bamboo, piaçava (kind of straw) and fishing nets into the sea from where fishes can not run away .

Ponta do Curral, where a Land Rover will be waiting to make a ride among the native forest, visiting some cascade ptractically ignored by toursm; a journey on canoe along rivers practically unknown by men but some local inhabitants surrounded by Natute beuty. Lunch is offer at a wonderful cascade side, bounded by tropical plants. Rafting, Rappel and other radical sports are also offered.

And visit its virgin beaches, spending the whole day over there; if you like fishing, this is an ideal place. On the way back to Morro, you can take some pictures of the sunset.

Lighthouse:
On the way to the Lighthouse yoou will find the Toca do Morcego (Bat's Cave) that has a wonderful viewpoint to take some pictures. From the Lighthouse viewpoint there is a marvelous sight from 1st, 2nd and 3rd Beach. Do not forget your camera: the landscape is amazing. There you will also find the Tirolesa: if you have courage enough it would be a good idea jump from it to arrive to the First Beach.
The Fortress: It is considered by tourists as the best place to be witness of the daily sunset: not in vane the Viagem Magazine judged it one of the seven most funny programs at Bahia. Over there, besides the wonderful sunsets, you will find nice people, some guitar music, the dolphins ballet and, of course, lots of History. The Sky Fountain (Fonte do Céu): Going to this Sky Fountain and there go down the hill till Gamboa Town is a nice ride. Many people says that this is a waterfall, it is really a small cascade (5mts tall) that falls in the front of a cave dug on a big rock. The water of this cascade is really cold and delicious, many people born here used to drink this water. But be carefull cause can be a bit heavy for those who are not used to drink water with too many minerals. The whole ride consists on 6 km walking, so it is good to take a T-Shirt to protect your back from sun; a hat is also a good idea to take care of your head. It is good to begging this ride early in the morning or after 2:00pm and avoiding midday hours. It is better to go with a local guide to keep away from loosing yourself on the way. And do not forget your camera to take pictures of the landscapes: on the way to Gamboa there is a viewpoint from where it is possible to see the whole Gamboa's Beach and also Ponta do Curral. If you come back to Morro by the seaside, make a stop at the "Argila", mud wall that it is said it has medicinal properties to purify the skin.

A) During the Day: The meeting place is, with no doubt, the 2nd Beach; this is the most popular beach where it is possible to play a Volley-ball game or some "Frescoball". Many huts offer lunch, without leaving the seaside and some of them have hammocks under the trees where you can take a
cat-nap. Handsome men and beautiful ladies can be seen there. By the end of the afternoon you can enjoy a "capoeira" show at Ponta da Ilha Hut (2nd Beach) or at Minha Louca Paixão Inn (3rd Beach). At the 1st Beach you can go for a ride in the Banana Boat or jump by the Tirolesa if you have courage enough.
.: Morro´s Teatro:
Every Wednesday, there is a Jam Session in our Theatre, where local people meet to play some Jazz, Blues, Samba, Rock'n'Roll an music from Bahia. There are also some poetry and capoeira shows. Dancing shows are a special attraction for tourists who can enjoy of Flamenco, Afro or Brazilian dances and also lots of different rhythms

The main characteristic of this theatre is its structure: an amphitheatre surrounded by local forest, 20 minutes away from Village. It had been visited by important Brazilian musicians such as Sarajane, Geraldo Azevedo and Natiroots band and Staka Zero forró band. The Vj Fernanda Lima from MTV BrazilChannel had also visited it. The owner of the theatre also posses a dancing place called Toca do Morcego (Bat´s Cave), traditional dancing place that began to work on 1988.

B) Capoeira: Kilombolas Group was created in Salvador on the 70's and arrived at Morro on 1993, with Professor Carlito; he is part of Kilombolas group since 1986, and he lent this sport with Contra-Mestre Raimundo Kilombolas. Carlito's is working a lot with children and youth from the Island. Many foreign lovers of this sport take part of capoeira sessions played at many points of Morro and each year they meet at baptism and cords changing reunion where also "Mestres"(masters), Professors and learners show their art.
