.: First Beach:

First Beach, also known as
Prainha (Little Beach) is the smallest one at Morro. It has
just 300 mts long and there
you will find some Inns,
summer houses, and beach
huts. This is the only one
with direct access to the

:: Praia do Encanto :: Fifth Beach
Praia do Encanto (Charm Beach): Praia do Encanto, also known as 5th Beach, and is located close to other town: Garápua. On this 5th beach, is located a big eco resort.
Because of being a quite and retired beach, it is chossen for those who look for a peaceful area.
Nature had been generous here and men are taking too much care of this place in order to preserve it.

:: Prainha do Forte (Fortress Beach):
This beach is located closed to the Morro´s Fortress, and is a very small one. Without any touristic infrastructure, this is the ideal place to be witness of the full moon rise (considered one of the most beautiful at Bahia State). It is a wonderful beach during low-tide. Between this
:: Ponta da Pedra Beach:
Located also at the west side of Morro, this is one of the most quite beaches at the iland, practically with no huts, plenty of native trees, natural pools and beautiful, rustic summer houses.

ocean, that is why on High Season weekends many boats arrive to this beach. There you can take a ride on Banana Boat, funny ride chosen by families and young people.
On 80's it was the beach chosen by rich families from Salvador; there
were less inns, and this people stayed there at some friend houses or camping at seaside.
It has a coral fence called Pedra do Moleque that creates ideal waves for those who like to practice some surf; there you can also find the end of the biggest Tirolesa in Brazil, with 300 mts long.
The sea there is quite and it has a deep, crystalline blue colour. Because of being a natural pier, during the winter is the usual way to introduce all kinds of goods Morro needs to its supplying.
This beach is one of the postcards of this town.


.: Second Beach:

It concentrates the biggest number of tourists and is the most popular beach at Morro. Meeting place for friends, there you can enjoy of the most beautiful bikinis and handsome men wearing their colourful sungas while hearing different kinds of music. Many huts offer drinks and lunch.
All of this make of this beach a magical place also ideal for sports practice, such as Volleyball, Frescoball, Football, Snorkelling or Fitness.
There is easy to find people from all around the world, mixed with artisans that offer ther work, fruit salad or Açai huts and native pastry points.

 


It is good idea to arrive early if you want to have a place at a hut or you want to lay on the sand near the sea. On this beach, is usual to see some parachutists arriving, during the celebratin of the Parachute Festival and also some boys with their Delta

Wings surprising everybody with a show of colours and dexterity. A good option is to visit t
he Ilha da Saudade (Nostalgy Island), magical place that shows the end of the 2nd beach and the beginning of the 3rd one. Some years ago it was separated from the coast and it was necessary to swim to arrive to it, but now it became part of the beach. On full moon nights is a good place to see the moon climbing on the sky.

.: Third Beach:
This is one of the biggest beaches at Morro and it has two different parts: the first one, plenty of inns and huts near the sea, ideal for walking or do some snorkel to apreciate the sea fauna. Many families choose this beach because of its tranquility. Here is also placed one of the landing hints we have in Morro de São Paulo. It is also possible to rent a kayak and do a ride till Caitá Is., 500 mts away from the coast.
The second part of this beach is much more quite with less inns and is ideal for a walk or a horse ride.

If you like to practice some scuba-dive, this beach is the ideal place for that. Advise: while practicing this sport, visit the coral reef near Caitá Is.

"Terra" and "Veja" magazines had considered this beach at the 4th place among the 10 most beautiful beaches at Brazil, and had also compared it with Caribbean ones. Long ago it was a quite, desert beach and was visited by local and foreign nudists and also by hippies. Nowadays is more visited by tourists and nudism is forbidden. It already maintains it beautiful natural characteristics, charming to everyone who arrives there.
This is the ideal place for a bike ride or for a long walking to enjoy of a wonderful flora, but take care of tides!! This is a good place to be lodge into one of the resorts, hotels or inns located over there, if you are looking to be in a quite place and apart of noisy places.
During High Season or special holidays, the Bar da Piscina (Pool Bar) is the attraction: a wooden structure, where very good music can be heard. It used to concentrate too many people who stay there all over the day.

.: Fourth Beach:
The 4th Beach is also called Pools Beach because
coral reefs create natural pools plenty of colorful fishes. This is the longest beach at Morro
-4000 mts long- bounty of beautiful Nature, white,
fine sand, deep blue sea and a marvelous coconut
tree farm. You can do some snorkel there to
appreciate the marine fauna and multicolored corals. Other option is to feed the fishes: being surrounded
by them is a fantastic sensation.

:: Porto de Cima Beach: Porto de Cima Beach,
is located on village west side, 5 minute away from main square. Ideal for those ones that enjoy of scuba-dive, swim or rest under the sun. It has many coral reefs that create natural pools fool of multicolored fishes. There are two ways to arrive there: by the beach close to the pier, easy way with low-tide, or straight ahead by Porto de Cima street, close to the Fonte Grande (Big Fountain).

Is a good place to invest on a land portion or on a summer house of singular architecture. Over there you can find a mud hill: this is one of the most important attractions for tourists because that mud is excellent for skin and hair care. Just grease it on your skin, let it dry and then take a bath on the sea... it´s easy. This is one of the beaches on the way to Gamboa Town: once there, you can eat some delicious and traditional plates a.
Beach and 1st Beach, there is a rocky hill: if you like radical sports, you can walk on it to arrive to that First Beach, but do not forget your sport shoes to avoid hurting your feeet. At the middle of this rocky way, there is other little beach called 'Arauto de Ogum'. Its access is just by this roccky hill and, because of that, is a virgin and preserve beach.
Most of the hotels placed at this beach offer a very good services infrastructure, offering to their guests practically everything they need for their vacations. These hotels also offer transportation to the village.
For those who already know all the other beaches, this one is an excellent alternative for a different day: dissimilar sceneries invites you to relax and enjoy of a pick-nick day or just to walk discovering its wonderful nature.

This is the favourite beach of local people, with less tourims; it is ideal for children. If you arrived to it, you can also visit the other next beaches on the way to Gamboa.
